Alex joined GGP as a Principal in 2018. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing the firm’s investments, and serves as a board member for a variety of GGP’s holdings.
Prior to Gotham, Alex spent nine years at Atalaya Capital Management, a privately held, SEC-registered alternative investment advisory. Atalaya focuses primarily on making private credit and special opportunity investments in specialty finance, real estate, and corporate debt. During his time at Atalaya, Alex deployed capital across a broad spectrum of special sits/opportunistic transactions including NPL portfolios, distressed corporate credit, and rediscount lending.
Alex began his career in the Leveraged Finance Origination & Restructuring group at Credit Suisse. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Georgetown University with a double major in Finance and Accounting.
